Crew of Crave

Madeleine Yachnin

Stage Manager

"...and buy you a kitten I'd get jealous of because it would get more attention than me..."

I have always had a love of dance. The music, intense emotions, lines and shapes that create incredible and sometimes impossible images on stage have always captured me. As a former ballet dancer I never thought that I would witness the intense struggle and battle to create something so effortlessly beautiful could ever unfold in the same way for me in a performance. Crave has indeed melted into a dance for me – a tragic pas deux with no clear end or beginning and a lot more mess! I am so thrilled to be returning to Wild Dream Theatre’s production of Crave as a stage manager. Just a few months ago we were a group of students improvising, playing, dancing and exploring the complex world of Sarah Kane in an attempt to challenge ourselves to create something thought provoking, heart breaking, and even a little terrifying. Each and everyone one of us has a personal connection to Kane’s text that has made our exploration of this piece such a powerful journey. I am so looking forward to wearing my headset and being apart of this whirlwind dance once more!

"A:  I love you still.

B:  Against my will."

I am a recent graduate of U of T.  My foundation as a lighting designer came from a long, 8 year journey with photography. What I saw through the camera lens was so provoking and entertaining that it became part of my life. Currently, I am working as a free-lance photographer and involved in a Korean organization called

"(t)here movement".  I am thankful to experience opportunities with Wild Dream Theatre, which encourages the appreciation of light.  Without light there can be no theatre, no life.

Spencer Reynolds

Set Designer

I am a senior North Korean design correspondent with over 65 years experience in the field. A connoisseur of the good life, my passions include, but are not limited to: plants, space travel, and vodka.

Joseph Chico

Sound Designer

"My hollow heart is full of darkness."

If there is a way to do everything in this one lifetime, it would be encompassed in the realm of a theatre discovered in an empty space. I am a sound designer, writer, musician, actor, director, filmmaker, entrepreneur and artist looking to discover and share the truths about myself and how I see my world through my work. I do things for the people I love, and its beautiful to see dreams in reality.

Assistant Stage Manager

"Because its beautiful learning to know you and well worth the effort."

For me this show was the start of something; an inspiration, a spark and an amazing journey. I have loved working with such a beautifully talented group of people, who each bring something unique to this show.
In the past, I have always been the actor but being on the production side for this show has been one of the greatest experiences for me. Getting to watch and learn how other people work has to be one of the best jobs someone could have. I hope this performance brings about as much wonder and feeling for you as it has for me and leaves you with many questions at the end of the night.

Stretch. Floss. And always remember: wear sunscreen.

Lighting Technician

"...and forget who I am and try to get closer to you because it's beautiful learning to know you and well worth the effort..."

I am new to the world of theatre production and would like to thank Wild Dream Theatre for the opportunity to work as a lighting technician on this groundbreaking show. In my various notebooks you can see scribbles of my thoughts whether it be text or simply an inspiration for a design. I have found that being involved in the creation of theatre has kept my demons away and caused me to reflect upon my life using my experiences from being involved with this kind of work; whether it is as a designer, a performer or an audience member.
